We are hosting a community event for our national campaign “Keeping Our Children Safe: Community Response Intervention” event on July 25, 2015. It will be held at the Carrollton Public Library, 4220 N. Josey Lane at Hebron Pkwy from 10:30am– 12:30pm.

This is our initial campaign start to bring awareness of child abuse, missing and exploited children and safety measures to parents and youth serving organizations in communities and churches. According to The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children^®, approximately 800,000 children younger than 18 were reported missing. In 2014, there were 466,949 entries for missing children under the age of 18 into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center, also called NCIC.

Here are some of the topics we will be covering at the event:

● 10:30 – Event Start
● 10:40am – Kick off with Introduction of Event
● 10:45am – Presentation by Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County (Internet Safety and etc.)
● 11:30 – The Rules of Safety
● 11:40 – Safety Tips Going to and From School
● 11:50 – Keeping children safe in youth serving organizations
● 12:15 – Questions and Answer Period
● 12:30 – Event End
